Canonized by Pope Paul VI in 1976, Saint Charbel, a Lebanese hermit and monk healed the terminal ill during his lifetime over two hundred years ago. In the last few years he has resurrected with immense popularity amongst the devout Catholic believers of Latin America and is being prayed to especially by the ailing. Ribbons with prayers are tied to his welcoming arms in hopes that petitions will be heard.
